Meet the Staff
Meet Miss. Heidi
Miss Heidi is the owner of HLW, LLC and Principal of Unity Co-op. She also directly teaches third and fifth grade, as well as Bible to the teens. She has always had a heart for children and always knew she wanted a career that allowed her to work with them.
Miss Heidi has her Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and worked with children in the mental health field for several years prior to starting HLW, LLC/Unity Co-op. She co-taught kindergarten and first grade at Central Maine Christian Academy for two years. She has also taught beginners ballet at a local dance studio.
She is very involved in her church and has been teaching the preschool Vacation Bible School class since she was 16 years old. She has led children’s dances for her church’s Christmas and Easter programs and is a substitute teacher for Sunday School classes.
While her favorite subjects to teach are history and language, the thing she enjoys most about her job is helping her students learn who they are in Christ. She loves having Biblical discussions with her students and works hard to show them the love of Jesus.

About Me
Meet Miss Anita
Miss Anita has been teaching kindergartners how to read for many years. After earning her degree from the University of Maine, she taught kindergarten at Eastgate Christian Academy and Oxford Christian Academy. She has also provided daycare in her home. Now she is back in kindergarten at Unity Home-School Co-Op. What she enjoys most about teaching 5 & 6 year-olds is the excitement they have learning new things. Every day is a new adventure!
Meet Miss. Abi
Abi is our 1st and 2nd grade teacher here at Unity Co-op!
Miss. Abi has dreamed about being a teacher since she was little. She has always loved to teach and help people of all ages. Her favorite subject to teach is math, she loves the look on the kids faces when they get questions correct! Miss. Abi loves to sing and dance, and be a part of her church’s Christmas and Easter shows! She also works at East Auburn Baptist Church as the Child Care Coordinator, and she volunteers teaching the 1st grade Sunday School class!
Meet Miss Alyvia.
Miss Alyvia loves kids and has always loved teaching them new things. She hopes to help kids by teaching them in a way that engages them and helps them understand what she is teaching. She has had previous experience working as a daycare teacher at the YMCA, and now currently works as a Sunday school teacher at East Auburn Baptist Church.
